Privacy

Placeholder for Autext, operated by Dylan Oates, Gold Coast, Queensland. This is not a finished privacy policy. Have it reviewed before you take paying customers.

What we hold

Account name and email, the business name, timezone and phone, Google Calendar events you connect (titles, times, locations, descriptions, guests), client names and mobiles, message content, delivery status, and billing identifiers from Stripe. We do not ask for your Google password.

Why

To send appointment reminders you asked us to send, to update the calendar when a client replies, to show you a message log, and to bill the plan you choose. Google data is used only for that calendar sync. You can disconnect Google at any time in your Google account.

Who else sees it

ClickSend carries the SMS from the shared Autext number. Twilio is only used if ClickSend is not configured. Stripe processes card payments. The database host stores the records. We do not sell client lists.

Clients

A client can reply STOP or open the opt-out link. That suppresses further texts to their mobile for that business. They can ask the business, or hello@autext.com.au, for a copy or deletion of the messages we hold about them.

Health-style businesses

If you provide a health service, the Privacy Act and the Australian Privacy Principles may apply to you even as a small business. Keep clinical detail out of calendar titles and texts. Autext is a messaging tool, not a clinical record.
