How SMS reminders work in Australia
The handset is still where a reminder gets read. The rules around it are ordinary, and they are the salon owner's, not the software's, to ignore.
Whose number
Autext sends from one shared number, and the text starts with the business name. The client replies to that number. STOP opts them out. START opts them back in. The business is still responsible for having consent to text.
Quiet hours
Autext holds texts between 10pm and 7am in the business timezone. Brisbane is the default until you change it. A reminder that would land at midnight waits.
Length
A plain GSM text is 160 characters. Emoji and some punctuation switch the message to a shorter segment size, so the counter in the app is the one to trust. Extra texts, when you pass the plan, are $10 per 100 ex GST ($11 inc).
What we will not claim
We are not quoting an ACMA fine or a carrier study here. If you want the Spam Act wording, read it on the ACMA site. Autext identifies the sender and offers STOP. That is the product behaviour, not legal advice.

Does the trial need a card?
No. 21 days, 50 texts, then it stops until you pick a plan.
